Biggest Beauty Trends
We’ve joined the Circular Fashion movement with AirRobe. Now, you can extend the life of your THE UPSIDE item by re-selling or renting your pieces back into a circular economy after you’ve worn and loved them. Keeping fashion out of landfill makes sense. It’s good for your wallet and good for the planet.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Step 1: As you shop on THE UPSIDE, select “Yes” to add items to your Circular Wardrobe.
Step 2: On the order confirmation page you’ll be directed to set up a free AirRobe account. Your items, including the product images and descriptions, will automatically appear in your Circular Wardrobe.
Step 3: After you have worn and loved your purchase, you can re-sell, rent, or recycle your items on AirRobe marketplace, with one click.
Step 4: You keep fashion out of landfill and reduce your carbon, water and waste footprint.
HOW DO I ACCESS & USE AIRROBE?
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF USING AIRROBE?
By selling or wearing just one pre-loved fashion piece, you offset:
Currently, the fashion of today largely becomes the waste of tomorrow. AirRobe and THE UPSIDE are tackling this urgent problem with a focus on creating new ways to extend the life of fashion.
From the beginning, THE UPSIDE has understood that how we move through the world matters. Whether that impact is personal, social or environmental - we are accountable for what we put out into the universe. We are continually striving to ensure our actions are as honourable as our intentions. That being said, we do not and cannot claim to be perfect - we are very much a work in progress and there is always room for improvement. The road is long but we remain open and committed to learning how we can get where we need to be, not only for the sake of this beautiful, blue planet but also for the health & happiness of our global community.
It’s not enough to simply profess our principles, we must actively defend them. THE UPSIDE is doing our part to bring about lasting and meaningful change through the following initiatives:
This beautiful blue planet gives us so much - joy, peace and adventure. We have taken the following measures to nurture and protect this privilege:
We break it down. All of THE UPSIDE packaging is recycled and/or biodegradable.
We believe wholeheartedly in the beauty and power diversity. You don’t need to be more like this and less like that - you just need to BE YOU. This simple message of fierce self-love is amplified through our #BEYOU social media campaign - an initiative designed to empower our community to accept and own their authentic self no matter what.
MENTAL HEALTH & RUOK?
THE UPSIDE is committed to shining a light on mental health. We believe that true wellness goes beyond toned limbs and green smoothies; engaging in meaningful conversation and taking positive action that serves and nurtures our mental health is a fundamental need of every Upsider. It’s for this reason we are longstanding champions and retail partners of the R U OK Day initiative - openness, empathy and camaraderie are imperative to the collective wellbeing of our global community. Our founder Jodhi is a proud R U OK Day ambassador and each year we release a limited edition Muscle Tank with proceeds donated to the R U OK organisation.
KINDNESS, INCLUSIVITY & RESPECT
We mean business when it comes to promoting and practicing Kindness, Equality, Inclusivity and Respect at every level and every aspect of THE UPSIDE. Where we can use our platform and resources to further champion these essential principles amongst our wider community, we do. We are completely in awe of our LGBTIQA+ community. To honour and support them, we celebrate Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras with designated capsule collections, with proceeds then donated to Twenty10. Twenty10 is a NSW-based service for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and gender diverse, non-binary, intersex, questioning, queer, asexual and ople and others of diverse genders and sexualities, their families and communities. Twenty10 provides a broad range of specialised services for young people 12-25 including housing, mental health, counselling and social support.
