Winter Romance
Summer’s end is nigh, alas. However, that doesn’t mean the foliage of your love life must wither like a bereft elm that reaches toward the grey, godless sky in solitary supplication. No, luckily for us, love (like money, rust, and Las Vegas) never sleeps. Why? Because the Stars, in their ceaseless toil on the exercise bike of the Zodiac, keep pumping out romance transits daily, monthly, yearly, eternally.
The main planets to focus on when it comes to romance are the two “Benefics,” Venus (love) and Jupiter (marriage and luck), while the important zones to look at in a chart are Romance and Partnerships (also known as the 5th and 7th Houses, respectively). We should also attend to the Selfhood sector of a chart (also known as the 1st House), as it manifests how we appear to mates and suitors. In essence, Venus and/or Jupiter highlighting any of these zones tends to bear romantic fruit ready for the picking.
Other planets, of course, are also important for determining our love outlook. For example, the Moon (our emotional pulse) will influence how we might be feeling about romance on certain days. Because it moves quickly through signs (it stays in each about 2 days), the Moon is a good planet around which to set particular dates (like a marriage or sensual date night). By the same token, however, the Moon’s changeability makes it harder to predict longer romance transits with it.
Nor should we forget Mars. While it is a malefic, baleful force known for strife, war, and mischief,  it, nonetheless, plays a major role in our drives and passions. A Mars well-placed can provide that elusive “chemistry” we look for in romance.
And then, last but not least, the Sun brings energy, light, and life to specific areas of the chart through which it is coursing. Its sojourns in the Romance or Partnerships zones make for especially fertile times for planting the seeds of love or reaping their bountiful harvest.
Given this very brief astrological romance primer, please find below your sign’s optimal cuffing zone for the upcoming months, so you can plan when best to wear the perfect Winter sweater on a date with starry destiny.
Your romance hotspot this Winter stretches from 3 May to 28 May. That’s when you’ve got either one or both benefics perfuming your Selfhood/Ego zone. It doesn’t get much better than that, Ram. Venus will bring beauty and charm to your mein and Jupiter luck to your life. Venus in the Ego sector also suggests more love and kindness toward how you treat yourself.
Your ruling planet, diamond-studded Venus, moves into your Selfhood/Ego sector from 28 May to 22 June. Expect Venusian themes to get amplified during this auspicious transit: feeling more attractive (Venus rules beauty) and more charming. Venus (love) in the Ego sector can also bring more self-acceptance which is, perhaps, the most important relationship of all.
The Sun in your Selfhood sector during your season (20 May to 20 June) is your best moment to shine this autumn. You will be extra chatty, charming, and flirtatious during this light-hearted solar placement. No need to get super heavy into anyone, not that your nature ever does. In the end, keep it breezy (unless you meet a Capricorn, then poke fun at their stern pretensions).
Lovely Venus transits your Social Networking and Friendship zone from 28 May to to 23 June. Both Venus and the networking sector are super social, so you need to leave your shell, gentle Crab, if you want to experience a bit of amor. Venus in this sector could also bring romance through friends of friends or in the work-related domain.

3 to 29 May betokens your most charged romantic period this Autumn, as Venus flits through your travel sector. This could be a wonderful time to book a trip somewhere you’ve always been intrigued by. Venus in the travel zone suggests finding love on the road, or, at the very least, loving the journey itself, which can be just as good, if not better, sometimes.
Your Partnership zone is jam packed with planets from early April to early May: Venus (love), Jupiter (luck), Mars (passion/strife), and Neptune (dreaminess/illusion).  The question won’t be: is romance in the cards? but rather what do I do with this full house?  Neptune+Venus could suggest being deluded or fooled by love or a lover, so watch out for that.
This Autumn, lovely Venus, with diamonds on the soles of her shoes, clicks into your Relationship zone from 3 May to 29 May, suggesting sweetened interactions with a helpmeet (i.e. spouse, partner, long term beau or belle). It could also suggest the random start of something new with someone you meet out in the world, say, the library, local volunteer shelter, or brewhouse.
Focus on 6 April until the end of the month for your sweet spot this Autumn. Lovely Venus will be flitting through your Romance sector, where it is said to have its “joy.” This is pretty much the best place for Planet Love to be, so make the most of this transit. Try to get out of the house and circulate. Venus is a social butterfly. Don’t stay fixed or fixated, as is your nature, this transit.
Your ruling planet, generous Jupiter, enters your Fun and Romance sector on 10 May until 28 October. Jupiter in this area of the chart can suggest excess (so keep that in mind and don’t party too hard). It can also suggest pregnancy (so keep that in mind too). If you’re wanting a gentle babe, though, this is a fertile transit, Archer, so shoot for the stars with fiery arrows aquiver.
This Autumn your love life looks most strong from 20 April to 20 May, as the Sun-in-Taurus heats up your Romance and Fun sector. Both you and the Bull enjoy the finer things in life, so go with the lux energy of the transit, if possible. Add some posh razzle dazzle to your date nights during this month-long astrological erogenous zone.
Look to Gemini Season (20 May to 20 June) for this autumn’s optimal romantic performance for you, Waterbearer. That’s when the Sun skinny dips into your Romance, Fun and Sex sector. Gemini season is known to be a very chatty one, so start getting your text-flirt game ready for late May.
Your Autumn starts with a bang. Lovely Venus camps out in your Selfhood sector from 6 April to 3 May, where it joins jovial Jupiter. That’s two big benefic planets (love, marriage, beauty, luck), slow dancing together in your Ego zone. You could be feeling extra confident and attractive with these placements. There’s a bit more: Mars (drive/passion/strife) and Neptune (illusion) are also co-present in the Selfhood sector. While Mars lends courage to make the first move in romance, Neptune could bring an overly-romanticised view of that special someone you’ve got eyes for. So, it’s a nebulous set of transits, which fits your nebulous nature. You could very much fall head over heels in love with the fantasy of the future of an illusion.
