JOHN COLLINS RECIPE

A favourite at THE UPSIDE HQ, the John Collins was first created in the 1800’s in Mayfair, London. We add a sprig of Mint for a refreshing little pick-me-up.

INGREDIENTS

60mls Belvedere Vodka
30mls Fresh Lemon juice, seeds removed.
15mls Sugar Syrup (Adjust to taste)
Top with Soda Water

*Sugar syrup is made by combining equal part white sugar and water over a stove until disolved. Cool before using.

FOR GARNISH

1 slice of Fresh Lemon
A few of Mint leaves

METHOD

Combine all ingredients except for Soda Water into a Cocktail Shaker, filled with ice. Give it a vigorous shake for 20 seconds and then strain into an ice filled High Ball glass. Top with Soda, stir and garnish with a Lemon wedge.

Prefer Gin? Try a Tom Collins! Just replace the vodka with gin.
