Today THE UPSIDE showcased our Resort 2022 women’s collection with an immersive brand activation at the iconic Sydney location, The Opera House, during day five of Afterpay Australian Fashion Week.

Friends of the brand, and media were invited to join THE UPSIDE Founder and Creative Director, Jodhi Meares and JS HEALTH founder Jessica Sepel for a morning of slow reprieve, as the haste of the Australian Fashion Week schedule draws to a close.

During a week of spectacular runway presentations, THE UPSIDE identified the opportunity to bring the community together, give thanks to the country we live in and to reconnect on home soil. Leaning into the brands DNA, THE UPSIDE’s Resort 2022 presentation at Afterpay Australian Fashion Week celebrates the brands ethos of a well-rounded lifestyle, grounded in authenticity.

Jodhi Meares said, “This event is a moment in time for the fashion community and our friends to come together and restore our energy levels and vibrations after fashion week, we are here to celebrate our Resort 22 collection “Wish You Were Here” which was designed and inspired by the beautiful Australian landscape that we are all fortunate enough to call home.”

In acknowledgement of the traditional owners of the land, the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, guests were asked to pay respects through a Welcome To Country by Yvonne Weldon the chairperson for the Metropolitan Aboriginal land council.

Sydney’s iconic Harbour Bridge set the backdrop for a restorative stretch session, hosted by Flow Athletic Co-Founder, Kate Kendall. A healing sound bath created a soothing ambience, offering guests the opportunity to unplug, slow down and take a breath. A nourishing vegan breakfast outdoors on The Opera House Terrace rounded out the morning of restoration.

Speaking directly to THE UPSIDE’s brand DNA, the Resort 2022 collection, aptly named ‘Wish You Were Here,’ focuses on the need to be close to friends, family and loved ones during a time when we are all so far apart. The vibrant range celebrates the Australian landscape, from the beaches of Bondi to the red centre of Uluru, ‘Wish You Were Here’ embraces joyful simple pleasures and fond memories created on home soil.

Guests were served JS HEALTH Vitality X Nourish + Glow on arrival and throughout the event and on departure were treated to JS HEALTH AM + PM the multivitamin that will have you feeling energised and refreshed all day, and sleeping soundly by night!
