Shipping

How much does shipping cost?

Australian orders receive free standard shipping on orders over $100, otherwise standard shipping is $7.99 or express for $10. International orders receive free DHL Express shipping on orders over $150, otherwise a flat rate of $20 applies.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Standard shipping within Australia: 3 - 5 business days
Express shipping within Australia: 1 - 4 business days
DHL Express shipping outside Australia: 3 - 5 business days

When will my order be dispatched?

Dispatch times can vary depending on the time your order is placed and current order volumes. During sale periods or promotional events, please allow a little extra time for your order to be dispatched as our team works through a higher than usual number of orders. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking details.

I entered the wrong address on my order, can I update it?

If you've entered an incorrect shipping address, please contact our customer care team as soon as possible. While we will do our best to update your address before your order is dispatched, we cannot guarantee changes can be made once your order has been received and processed at our warehouse.

Please note that once your order has been shipped, we are unable to make any changes to the shipping address. If your package is returned to us as a result of an incorrect address, you will be responsible for any additional postage costs to reship to the correct address.

How can I track my order?

Once your order has been shipped, you will be sent a shipping notification containing your tracking number and link. Please allow 48 hours for your tracking number to become active.

Please Note: To fulfil your order most efficiently we send your pieces directly to you based on where the inventory is available. If your order is split across locations, you will receive seperate tracking numbers for all parcels, so keep an eye on your inbox for additional shipping notifications.

Do you ship outside Australia?

Yes, we ship to countries worldwide. Please note that international orders may be subject to duties and taxes upon arrival, which are determined by your local customs authority and are the responsibility of the recipient. We recommend shopping on your local THE UPSIDE site where duties and taxes are calculated accurately at checkout and may be covered depending on your region.

Customs/Import Duties & Taxes

Will I Be Required To Pay Customs/Import Duties & Taxes?

All customers are responsible for customs/imports duties & taxes. THE UPSIDE is legally required to declare the full value paid on shipments and must include an invoice for customs should they require it. We recommend contacting your local custom office for further information.

Gift Vouchers

How Do I Buy a Gift Voucher?

We offer the choice of a Physical or Digital Gift Card. Simply select your preferred amount along with the lucky recipient’s details and we can either deliver the physical gift card straight to their physical address or the digital gift card directly to their inbox.

Shop Gift Cards 

Please note as you are purchasing in AUD that this Gift Card is only valid on our AU website. This is a non-refundable purchase valid for 3 years from the date of purchase.

How Do I Use a Gift Voucher?

You can use this Gift Voucher both online and in-store. Please enter the voucher card number and 4 digit pin at checkout or present the Gift Voucher in-store.

You can! Our gift vouchers can be used both online and in our stores.

Sizing & Garment Care

How Do I Find My Size?

We’ve recently made changes to our product sizing. To ensure the perfect fit, always select your numerical size eg. AU 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16. Please also refer to the size guide on the specific product page, located above the size selection drop down for specific sizing specifications for the product you are viewing. Please visit our Size Change FAQ for more information.

How Should I Care for My Items?

Please refer the Garment Care information on the specific product page and/or the care label attached to the garment.

For natural fibres please refer to our Natural Fibres Page for more information on how to care for your garment.

Returns

Can I return Full Price items?

Yes, you are eligible for a refund to you original payment method, store credit or exchange within 14 days of receiving your order.

Can I return Sale items?

For sale items including temporary markdowns and promotions, you are eligible for store credit (valid for 3 years) or exchange only within 14 days of receiving your order.

Can I return Final Sale items?

For sale items marked FINAL SALE | NO RETURNS at time of purchase, you will not be eligible for a refund, exchange or store credit. This does not affect your statutory rights.

What's the Return Process?

Step 1:
Find your order number on your order confirmation email or if you have an online account with us you can find it under 'Orders'.

Step 2:
When returning a product for a refund or store credit you will be given the choice to select a pre-paid return label or ship with a carrier of your choice. If the pre-paid label option is chosen, a $10 flat fee will be deducted from your refund or store-credit to cover the shipping costs.

Step 3:
Please ensure your first name and last name must be clearly visible on your return satchel or box in order for your return request to be processed.

Step 4:
As soon as THE UPSIDE has received your return, we will endeavour to process it within 2 business days. You will be refunded via your original payment method. If you have used a gift card to partially pay for your order, the refund will first go back onto the gift card and any remaining balance will be returned to your original payment method.

Please Note: If your return has not been approved first via our return portal, your order will be sent back to you. All return requests must go through the returns portal.

Can I return a purchase made with a Gift Voucher?

You are welcome to return purchases placed using Gift Voucher, this amount will be re-issued as a new Gift Voucher. Under no circumstances can a Gift Voucher be reimbursed for cash.

Can I return my online order to a store?

As long as the returned garment is accompanied by the original order confirmation and is in its original sale condition, it can be returned in-store. Please note the purchase can only be returned onto the card that the purchase was made on. If you do not have this, we won't be able to complete the refund.

Please Note: Orders placed via Afterpay are unable to returned to a store, these will need to be sent back to our Darlinghurst address to be returned.

Payments

What Payment Methods Do You Accept?

We accept Mastercard, Visa & American Express as well as PayPal, ApplePay and Afterpay to customers purchasing on the Australian site.

What is Afterpay?

Afterpay offers interest-free payment plans for purchases online in four equal instalments.

When at checkout Afterpay and you will then be redirected to the site where you can log into your account and complete your purchase.

Orders

I Placed My Order Should I Have Received an Email? 

Yes! An order confirmation will be sent to you shortly after placing your order. If you don't receive this we suggest checking your junk folder and if not there please reach out to our Customer Service Team via our contact form or email [email protected].

Can I Change My Order?

Unfortunately, we are unable to make any changes or cancel your order once it has been placed. Please ensure all details on your order are correct before submitting your order, in particular we recommend double checking your email address and delivery address.
