Feeling out of sorts without your go-to hair guru? We reached out to Paloma Garcia of PALOMA Salon to give us some hot tips on how to nail fuss-free, wash n’ wear hair at home! Whether you’ve got an important Zoom meeting or the all-exciting outing to the supermarket here’s her guide on how to air dry your hair…
If you happen to be short of your favourite products, these guys are also open Wednesday – Saturday for all your hair-care needs.
STEP ONE
Apply appropriate leave in cream to your hair type – light to medium or heavy in weight. This will help to eliminate frizz and define natural movement. Apply to freshly washed hair through the mid-lengths and ends only.
Kerastase Resistance Ciment Thermique, Nutritive Netar Thermique and Discipline Kerstine Thermique are the Paloma team go-to and work with fine, medium and thick frizzy hair!
STEP TWO
Apply an oil for extra hydration if your hair is dry. Cocktail your products. Paloma is using the Kerastase Elixir here!
STEP THREE
Once you’re out of the shower and your hair is washed, don’t disturb it at all. Don’t run you’re hand through it, no brushing, no combing. Jump straight in with your product! Scrunch the curl to encourage movement and volume!
STEP FOUR
Next up, blow dry your fringe. Start by sectioning your fringe and tuck the rest of the hair behind your ears and out of the way. Using a medium round brush and hairdryer with nozzle, bring the full fringe piece down towards the top of the nose. Start by brushing under the hair, with the hair dryer on top facing down.
STEP FIVE
Continue to dry your fringe and round the ends under. Your fringe should look round and bulbous through the ends, this will help it flick back!
STEP SIX
Part your fringe in the way you usually do and let all the rest air dry with no touching, ,combing or brushing!
STEP SEVEN
Apply a serum or hydrating light balm to smooth the hair through mid-lengths and ends to get rid of fluff and friss on 100% dry hair. We love using Oribe Split End Seal for dry ends!
STEP EIGHT
Finish by applying a very light spray to the roots only for any fly-a-ways.
We love using the Oribe Free Styler Light Hairspray or Oribe Anti Humidity Spray!
