With Alyce Tran

With the festive season upon us what better time than now to speak to the Queen of table-scaping and homewares – Alyce Tran from In the Roundhouse.
This is the perfect Chrimbo inspired post yoga Brunch setting featuring Christmas cheer and a side of green juice… Here Alyce shares her key table-scaping tips:
For me obviously it is all about the plate selection and then building moments around that. I like to start with your crockery and then coordinate or clash with napkins and a personalised touch with a handwritten place card.

For our post Yoga Christmas brunch, we have used our “Clean Words” collection plates, cutlery with a green hue and a pop of colour with a chic tablecloth, Our floral moment was about focusing on a red base that would make Santa feel right at Home.

HOT TIPS:
  1. The plate should inspire the rest of the table it is always at the best place to begin
  2. Don’t be afraid to choose clashing napkins, tablecloths and cutlery, tis the season
  3. Go bright and bold with florals, it’s Christmas after all and it’s the perfect time to inject red and pop colours into your arrangements
  4. A centrepiece isn’t always a must however it can create a certain ambiance and get people into the festive spirit, get spicy with your centrepiece, it doesn’t have to be florals, go for it with a chic candle cluster, some bon bons perhaps a few pressies.
  5. Word to the wise If you are adding florals, make sure the end result isn’t too tall as you do not want to block your table neighbours and make it harder for those sitting opposite one another to mingle and spread that chrimbo cheer.
